Gate Vision

Built for a gate and garage-door installer in the San Francisco Bay Area. Specs entered by the sales team become a dimensioned, branded drawing plus a photorealistic AI render on the customer's own house photo.

Overview

Customers buying a gate need to picture it on their own home before committing. Gate Vision gives the installer's sales team a way to show that during the sale.

What I built

  • Drawing engine. A deterministic SVG engine that produces dimensioned, branded illustrations for four product types.
  • AI render. A photorealistic render of the gate on the customer's house photo, using Gemini / OpenAI image models.
  • Export. PNG and PDF output the sales team can send to customers.

Design choices

The drawing is generated by code rather than a model, so dimensions stay exact. The image model is used for the render on the house photo, where an approximation is fine.
